Richmond - Anderson & Strudwick, announced today that Ruth Yates, a 27 year veteran of the regional investment firm, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She had been Vice President, Operations. Yates joined Anderson & Strudwick as a teenager and worked her way up from a clerical position.

In the Richmond Branch, Dave Southworth has been named Branch Manager taking over the position from George Nolde who had been named President earlier this year. Southworth joined the firm from Branch Cabell in 2002 and had served as assistant branch manager and acting branch manager before assuming his new position.

Providing executive support to the branch is Lynn Fast who was promoted to Assistant Vice President. She joined the firm in 1992. She had been the branch executive assistant.

Norma Sellors was named Vice President, Fixed Income. She is responsible for trades of bonds and other fixed income instruments. Sellors, who joined Anderson & Strudwick in 1989, had been Assistant Vice President in the Fixed Income department.
